Dairy Learning Center Interns

The Dairy Learning Center, Inc. provides a unique summer and school year internship program for college students studying agriculture.  Energetic, friendly and ag-educated young people can help us make an impact by connecting people to where their food comes while gaining valuable career skills to help them succeed in their chosen career path.

Student’s Responsibilities:  An intern’s main responsibility is to guide visitors through the facilities while communicating valuable information about MVP Dairy and the greater agricultural community. This includes maintaining the Learning Center facilities. Interns will also help plan and assist with hosting school field trips and other special events. They’ll learn to communicate and facilitate public/people handling issues and how to present a positive impression of the dairy community. Interns also have the opportunity for diverse experiences based on their interests, including assisting with social media content, graphic design, virtual farm tours, event planning, and facilitating day to day Learning Center operations.

Internships are open to all majors, however, there is a strong emphasis on developing strong communication skills and dairy industry knowledge and is best suited for agricultural communication majors or similar areas of study. At this time, we are unable to provide intern housing.
